Call or text to talk through your pet's trip. No pressure, just a real conversation.

What Door-to-Door Pet Transport Actually Means

Door-to-door means exactly what it sounds like. We come to your agreed pickup location, whether that's a house, apartment, condo, breeder, rescue, or another safe spot, and drive your pet directly to the destination. There is no terminal to drop off at. No warehouse or hub where your pet waits. No airport check-in. No strangers handling your pet between stops.

Your pet rides in a climate-controlled vehicle with one transporter for the entire trip. You get photo updates and can reach us directly any time. That's it. Simple, personal, and built around your pet's comfort.

A lot of transport services advertise "door to door" but actually require you to meet at a pickup point or transfer your pet to a different driver halfway through the trip. We don't do that. When we say door-to-door, we mean direct pickup at your location and direct delivery to the destination.

Who Uses Door-to-Door Pet Transport?

This service works for a lot of different situations. Here are the most common reasons people reach out:

  • Families relocating across the country: You're moving and want your pet transported safely while you handle the rest of the logistics
  • Snowbirds moving between states seasonally: You split time between homes and need a reliable way to bring your pet along each season
  • Avoiding airline cargo: Your pet is too large for cabin, or you're not comfortable with the cargo experience. Ground transport is the alternative
  • Breeders sending a puppy or kitten to a new family: You want to make sure the animal arrives safely with someone who will care for them the whole trip
  • Rescues and adoption transports: The pet needs to get from one state to another for a new home and deserves a calm, private ride
  • Anxious or senior pets: Some animals don't handle airports, noise, or shared rides well. A quiet vehicle with one person is a better fit
  • Large dogs that can't fly in cabin: Most airlines won't allow large breeds in the cabin, and cargo has real risks. Ground transport removes those restrictions
  • Cat owners who want a calm travel option: Cats are often more stressed by airports and shared transport than dogs. A private, quiet vehicle is usually a much better experience for them

How Pickup Works

We come directly to your location. That can be your house, apartment, condo, a breeder's property, a rescue facility, or any agreed-upon safe spot. You don't need to drive anywhere or meet us at a terminal.

Before pickup day, we confirm the address, parking or access details, and a good time window that works for you. We'll reach out when we're on the way so you're not waiting around wondering.

At pickup, we take a few minutes to let your pet get comfortable. We go over any last details (food, meds, routine), get your pet settled in the vehicle, and then we're on the road.

How Delivery Works

Delivery works the same way as pickup, just at the other end. We bring your pet directly to the destination address or agreed delivery location. No facility to collect them from. No window of "sometime between 8am and 6pm."

We communicate with you as we get close so you can be ready. When we arrive, we help your pet transition calmly and make sure they're settled before we leave.

If the person receiving the pet is someone other than the person who booked, we confirm those details ahead of time so delivery goes smoothly for everyone.

What Happens During the Trip

Between pickup and delivery, your pet is in our care the entire time. Here's what that looks like:

Climate-controlled travel

The vehicle is temperature-regulated for the full trip. This matters most on routes that cross desert heat or winter cold.

Regular rest stops

Potty breaks, fresh water, and stretch time are built into the route. We don't skip them to save time.

Photo updates

We send photos along the way so you can see how your pet is doing without having to ask.

Direct communication

You have our number. If you want to check in, text or call us directly. No customer service line.

Feeding and water routine

We follow your pet's schedule as closely as possible. Bring their food labeled and portioned if they eat on a routine.

One transporter, one vehicle

Your pet stays with the same person and in the same vehicle from pickup to delivery. No transfers to strangers.

Dogs and Cats We Transport

We transport dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds. There are no breed restrictions, no weight limits, and no requirement that your pet fits under an airplane seat.

This includes:

  • Large and extra-large dogs (Great Danes, Mastiffs, German Shepherds, Goldens, Labs, etc.)
  • Small dogs and puppies
  • Cats and kittens
  • Senior pets that need a gentler travel experience
  • Anxious or reactive pets that do better in a quiet, private environment
  • Pets with medical needs or medications

If you're unsure whether your pet is a good fit for ground transport, call us and we'll talk through it honestly. We'll tell you if there's a reason it might not work.

Common Long-Distance Routes

We cover routes across the continental U.S. Here are some of the corridors we run most often:

  • California ↔ Florida
  • Florida ↔ Northeast (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts)
  • Los Angeles ↔ New York City

If your route isn't listed here, don't worry. We handle custom routes all the time. Call or text us and we'll tell you if we can make it work.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does door-to-door pet transport mean?

It means we pick up your pet at your desired location and deliver them directly to the destination. There's no terminal, hub, or airport involved. Your pet stays with one transporter in one vehicle for the entire trip.

Do you pick up directly from my house or apartment?

Yes. We come to your house, apartment, condo, or any agreed pickup location. You don't need to drive anywhere or meet us at a facility. We confirm the address and any access details ahead of time.

Is this private transport or shared transport?

Our service is built around private transport. Your pet travels in a dedicated vehicle. If a route is ever combined with another compatible pet going the same direction, we talk to you about it first and only move forward with your approval.

Do you transport cats?

Yes. We transport cats of all ages and sizes. Many cat owners choose private ground transport because it's quieter and less stressful than flying. If your cat does better in a familiar carrier, just let us know and we'll accommodate that.

Can you transport large dogs?

Yes. We have no breed restrictions or weight limits. Large and extra-large dogs, including breeds that can't fly in cabin, are a common fit for this service. Your dog rides comfortably in the vehicle with room to stretch.
