What Puppy Transport Includes
The Animal Transporter is a private ground transport service. You hire us to pick up your puppy from its current location and bring it to its new home, across state lines or across the country. Either the breeder or the buyer can set it up. Call or text (385) 213-1363 to talk it through.

- Direct door-to-door delivery to the new family, with no driver transfers or pass-off hubs involved
- One transporter and one vehicle from pickup through delivery
- A custom quote after we talk through your route, dates, and what your puppy needs
- Photo updates and real time GPS tracking so you can follow the trip
- Direct contact with the person traveling with your puppy
How Puppy Pickup & Coordination Works
Either side can start the conversation. Sometimes the breeder calls us, sometimes the buyer does. It genuinely does not matter who books, as long as we can reach the person who has the puppy and the person waiting for it.
We start with a phone call. We go over where the puppy is, where it is going, the dates you are working with, and anything specific we should know. That conversation also helps us determine whether the trip is a good fit for your puppy and for our service. If it is not, we will tell you rather than take on a trip we do not believe is appropriate.
Then you get a quote. It is built around your actual route and dates, not a rate table. A 50% deposit holds the travel dates and the balance is due at delivery.
Before pickup day, we confirm the exact address, any parking or access details, and a time window that works for whoever is handing the puppy over. We reach out when we are on the way so nobody is sitting around wondering.
If someone other than you is handing the puppy over, let us know beforehand who we should expect. We confirm we are meeting the right person before your puppy goes anywhere.
At pickup we do not rush off. We go over feeding, any medications, the puppy's routine, and anything else worth knowing for the drive. If food, paperwork, a familiar blanket, or other items are coming along, those travel with your puppy and we hand them over at delivery.
Delivery to the New Family
The person waiting at the other end has usually never met us, and often has not met the puppy in person either. We keep that in mind on the way in.
We stay in touch as we get close so you have a real sense of when to expect us instead of watching the window all afternoon.
If the puppy is going to someone other than the person who booked, a partner, a parent, an adult child, let us know ahead of time who will be there. We arrange that in advance so there is no confusion at the door.
At delivery we bring your puppy to you directly. We give them a minute to get their bearings, hand over anything that traveled with them, and tell you how the trip went.
One thing worth knowing. We're happy to relay information when needed, but breeder-specific instructions and questions about your puppy's background are best handled directly between you and the breeder.
During Your Puppy's Trip
Your puppy stays with the same transporter in the same vehicle from pickup through delivery. We follow the feeding and water instructions that come with them, keep your puppy's area clean as needed, and take breaks along the route. With younger puppies we are careful about unnecessary contact with unfamiliar animals when we stop.
You get photos along the way, real time GPS tracking so you can see where your puppy is, and direct contact with the person traveling with them.

Long-Distance Puppy Transport Across the U.S.
Our puppy transport service covers the continental United States. We can pick up your puppy from locations across the country and transport them directly to their new family.
Whether your puppy is a few states away or across the country, call or text us with the pickup location, destination, and approximate dates so we can talk through the trip.
Why Families Choose Us for Puppy Transport
Sending someone to collect a puppy you have not met yet takes a certain amount of trust. Here is what that trust is built on.
Founder-led, personal service
JoDee handles most transports herself. When a member of her small team drives, that person has been personally vetted and trained by JoDee, and she stays involved in the trip planning and in contact along the way. Either way, you have a direct number.
Six plus years and over 480 pets delivered
We have been transporting animals for more than six years and have delivered over 480 pets, including puppies traveling to new families.
Fully insured
Transport is fully insured, which matters when you are handing your puppy to someone you have most likely only spoken with by phone.
You can see where your puppy is
Real time GPS tracking and photos along the way. Particularly worth having when you are waiting at the other end for a puppy you have not met yet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you pick my puppy up directly from the breeder?
Yes. We collect from breeder properties, rescue facilities, private homes, and other agreed pickup locations. We confirm the address, access details, and timing before pickup day.
Can either the breeder or the buyer book the transport?
Either one. Some breeders arrange transport for the families they sell to, and some buyers arrange it themselves. Whoever books becomes our main point of contact, and we just need to know who will be handing the puppy over and who will be receiving it.
Do you deliver directly to the new family?
Yes. We bring your puppy to your home or another agreed location. There is no facility to collect from. If the person receiving the puppy is not the person who booked, tell us ahead of time and we will arrange it.
Can you transport more than one puppy from the same litter?
Sometimes, yes. We do transport multiple puppies from the same litter together on some trips. Let us know how many puppies need transportation when you first get in touch, and we will talk through the details and work out what makes sense.
Is puppy transport private or shared?
Our service is built around private transport. Puppies from the same litter sometimes travel together, and if combining a route with another compatible animal is ever an option, we talk with you about it first and only go ahead with your approval.
What should be ready at pickup?
Whoever is handing the puppy over should be ready to go through feeding, any medications, and the puppy's routine with us. If food, paperwork, a familiar blanket, or other items are traveling along, have them ready and let us know. Beyond that, we handle it.
How do I get a quote for puppy transport?
Call or text us at (385) 213-1363, or send the quote form on our homepage. Tell us where the puppy is, where it is going, and roughly when. We will talk through the details and follow up with a custom quote. A 50% deposit holds your travel dates.
Talk With Us About Your Puppy's Trip
Tell us where your puppy is, where it needs to go, and roughly when. We will talk through the route, the timing, and what your puppy needs, then follow up with a quote. No pressure either way.
